Session recording consent

Recording therapy sessions requires appropriate patient consent and compliance with local law. AINuma provides technical workflow support; legal compliance is your responsibility.

Obtain informed consent

Before recording, explain why audio is captured, how it is stored, who can access it, retention periods, and how patients may withdraw consent. Document consent in your chart process.

Jurisdiction-specific rules

Laws differ for one-party vs all-party consent, telehealth, minors, and cross-border care. Consult your professional advice for your jurisdiction.

Retention and deletion

Define how long recordings are kept and when they are deleted. AINuma supports deletion workflows; your policy should match your privacy notice.

When not to record

Some sessions or settings are inappropriate for recording (certain crisis presentations, specific institutional rules, patient refusal). You can conduct sessions without recording and still use other platform features.
